The new Banc Sabadell BStartup Hub Barcelona, located in Passatge de Mercader, has been conceived as an open, flexible and versatile space designed to connect start-ups, investors, clients and professionals from the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Covering 1,240 m², the project transforms the offices into an environment suited both to day-to-day work and to meetings, events and sessions focused on current business topics.

Arlex took part in the refurbishment and fit-out of the space, developing comprehensive partitioning, wall-cladding and bespoke furniture solutions. The intervention includes natural oak wall panelling and bilaminate finishes, designed to seamlessly integrate access doors, fire-resistant doors, storage units and office areas, creating visual continuity throughout the space.

To organise the different areas, MA6 partitions were installed, lacquered to mid-height and finished in a range of materials, alongside MA7 partitions in varnished natural oak. The project is completed with reception counters clad in the same porcelain material used for the flooring, as well as bespoke furniture including high tables, counters and fittings for the office areas.

The combination of materials, partitioning systems and tailored solutions creates a coherent, functional and adaptable space capable of responding to new ways of working without compromising on warmth or architectural identity.
