As part of the project by TDA Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Arlex participated in the installation of partitions and meeting pods for the new headquarters of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya, the public body responsible for managing waste generated in Catalonia. Its aim is to help improve citizens’ quality of life while protecting the environment.
The new headquarters occupies three floors of a newly constructed building located on Passeig de la Zona Franca in Barcelona, within the BcnFira District. These are the first buildings in Spain to achieve the WELL Health-Safety Rating and have already become the heart of the city’s new business district to the south.
The project combines the separation of meeting rooms and collaborative work areas using the MA7 double-glazed partition system with individual spaces and meeting rooms featuring independent MKAB pods, providing a solution for both individual privacy and meetings. Meeting rooms and offices are fitted with double-glazed partitions, offering maximum transparency and high acoustic performance. The square floor plan and central core facilitate circulation, with offices and work areas positioned to enjoy views of the exterior.
The circulation routes change direction along the way, avoiding the usual monotony of conventional corridors. The pods offer full connectivity and 41 dB of acoustic attenuation, ensuring maximum privacy for phone calls, tasks requiring a high level of concentration or small-group meetings.
