Tragsa has commissioned ARLEX to carry out the installation of interior partitions and storage walls for the new headquarters of the Directorate-General for the Natural Environment and Forestry Policy (formerly Icona) in Madrid, as part of the refurbishment of the building on Gran Vía de San Francisco. Environmental considerations have been crucial to the project, which will use fire-retardant timber certified by FSC, helping to ensure the responsible management of forests worldwide. All varnishes used will also be environmentally friendly, based on water-based processes and materials. The project includes more than 5,300 m2 of glazed partitions, storage walls and perimeter fan-coil elements. Tragsa chose ARLEX for its environmental management system in accordance with the international ISO 14001 standard, as well as its ability to supply FSC-certified timber in accordance with the company’s chain-of-custody certification.
